Story
Are you ready to be stalked in the most affectionate way possible? Meet Pollie—a professional Velcro dog and emotional support supervisor. She’s got a PhD in full-body leans, specializes in cuddle therapy, and believes personal space is just a silly myth. While she loves everyone (because she’s generous like that), she’s clearly on a mission to pick her person—the lucky human who gets to be her rock, emotional support human, and designated cuddle target for life. Basically, she’s a soul dog looking for her soulmate... so, no pressure. Pollie is a stunning 2-year-old, 70lb English Shepherd mix who clearly has excellent taste in humans—she adored her adoptive dad and followed him everywhere like a furry, four-legged shadow. Unfortunately, Pollie also has zero interest in the sticky, squealy chaos that comes with toddlers. Apparently, she missed the memo that some humans come in “bite-sized” versions that like to scream and play tag at all hours. Her response? A hard pass. So, she packed her emotional baggage and returned to us—because sharing her space with tiny, high-energy cuddle gremlins was simply not in her contract. We promised her we’d find a more suitable arrangement: preferably a home where the humans are 12+ years old, slightly less chaotic, and better at respecting personal space. Ideally, she’s looking to become someone’s emotional support loaf—following them around, offering judgmental side-eyes when appropriate, and laying across their legs like a 70lb heated blanket with opinions. Pollie’s ready to give her heart again… just not to anyone who still watches Bluey. Pollie is a social butterfly with a crown—one that she wears ever so gracefully while frolicking with her canine subjects. She gets along well with other dogs as long as they understand the hierarchy (spoiler alert: she’s the gentle monarch and they’re the loyal court jesters). If another dog tries to get snappy or challenges her royal patience, well… let’s just say she won’t start drama, but she absolutely will finish it. A lady has standards, and she’s not lowering them for some scrappy little upstart with boundary issues. That said, Pollie’s not just about glitz and diplomacy—she’s got a heart of gold under that sass. Once she decides someone’s worthy of her inner circle, she’s incredibly sweet. We’ve literally watched her share her food bowl like it was a potluck dinner. Sweet Tip once shoved his entire head in there mid-bite, and Pollie just blinked like, “Okay, but you better bring dessert next time.” She’s also got the royal stamp of approval for cats (a.k.a. the kingdom’s “purrinators”) and when it comes to people? Absolute lovebug. She’ll greet you like she’s the mayor of Friendlyville, all tail wags and charm. Pollie’s energy is a perfect blend of snuggle-loving sloth when indoors and a squirrel on a sugar rush when outside chasing after acorns. She’d love to join you on adventures, but if you’re just hanging out at home, she’s equally thrilled to be not moving while basking in your presence. If you let her, she’d choose a rousing game of chase with her doggy pals over any boring walk—because why walk when you can zoom around in the yard like you’ve just discovered the concept of zoomies? Pollie’s a quirky, attention-loving goofball who thrives on playtime—whether it’s with her doggy friends or her ever-growing collection of toys. If there’s one thing she’s guaranteed to do, it’s entertain you with her charmingly odd antics. Pollie has never been kenneled, which means she views crates the way most of us view taxes—something mysterious and vaguely ominous. Pollie’s potty training? Well, let’s just say she’s the kind of dog who doesn’t do accidents. She’s got the whole bathroom routine down—because, of course, a dog of her caliber wouldn’t lower herself to such petty things as indoor messes. So yes, she’s potty trained and has better manners than most humans. Pollie? A master of mischief? Oh, no, not at all. She’s far too refined for such common dog antics. No excessive chewing or getting into things she shouldn't here. Pollie is too dignified for those kinds of shenanigans. Pollie’s barking style? Oh, she’s the epitome of restraint. She’s not one of those overly enthusiastic barkers who feels the need to announce every leaf that falls, every delivery truck, and whatever she thinks might be lurking in the spirit realm. Nope, Pollie only chimes in when the other dogs do, like she’s just being polite and joining the neighborhood gossip session. It’s almost like she’s saying, “I’ll let them do all the heavy lifting with the barking, but I’ll throw in a few comments when necessary.” So, are you ready to welcome this majestic, slightly sassy, queen of a dog into your home? Of course you are. All you have to do is fill out an adoption application at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app (because we just love paperwork), and we’ll send it straight to Pollie’s foster family. Then, all you have to do is make the scenic trek to Kiowa, OK to pick her up. It’s practically a vacation... except you’ll be taking home a royal companion. Go ahead, do the right thing and bring this bundle of charm and sass into your life. What are you waiting for?

Story
Oh Hall. Well, now he goes by “Baby”. But he’ll answer to either. Poor Baby Hall is stuck in boarding. He does great with other dogs and wouldn’t mind a companion, but is cool if he’s an only child too. Hall is a well behaved pup, knows his manners, is potty trained, crate trained. He’s really an easy guy. He has one little quirk of not being a fan of being leaned over. It’s claustrophobic. It’s personal space invading. It’s honestly a reasonable thing now that I think about it. Just don’t hover and he’s comfy. Baby Hall is out searching for a home. Either a foster, or forever, he’s up for either. He’d also prefer a home with no young kids. He likes them, but also likes them going home (same dude). Fostering is entirely free to you, if you’d like to even give Baby Hall a break for a few days, or a weekend, anything is helpful! Baby Hall is a 4 year old border collie mix. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
