Story
We adopted Ginger as a one year old puppy in late 2017. At that time we had another older dog and the two of them got along fine. She loved him and he was an old dog who didn't really care about her but they were friendly. Ginger absolutely loves people, loves attention, and snuggles. She's a good walker and she plays fetch well. When it was just my husband and I she was a great dog to have- very affectionate and cuddly. But she has some nervousness/anxiety that have become more difficult to deal with now that we have a toddler. The little quick movements of a small child make her super anxious and she has bit our son, without ever breaking skin, a few times out of what is obviously just fear. To protect our child and also to help her not be anxious we've basically had to separate her from him which often means she's simply separated from the family. This feels incredibly mean to do to a dog who genuinely just wants to curl up next to you. She needs someone with time and love.
