    adoption donation : $899 weight  11 lbs  Age 5 months as of 1/1        Nick is a friendly active puppy who loves everyone he meets and adores playing with other dogs.   He and his sister Nora were found abandoned as a puppy in a rural part of northern Mississippi and hit the jackpot when he came to Wags, he is having a grand time playing with all the dogs at the rescue and snuggling up with his sister for puppy power naps.      We are not sure of Nick’s mix, when we put his pictures in a dog scanning website, it came up as Italian greyhound and Jack Russell terrier but obviously he has other breeds mixed in as well. Nicky is small, we expect him to be under 20 pounds  full grown.      Nick gets along great with everyone, he is fine with cats and friendly to everyone he meets. Nick is house trained at Wags but like any rescue may need a refresher course while he adjust to a new home. Nick is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccines. He is a sweet loving little boy who will make a wonderful family dog.    Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ARRIVING at Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Sebec, Maine on 29th January 2025, but you can still apply to adopt! ALBUS was saved and cared for by Muscat Dog Adoption, before sending him with other saved dogs to Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Sebec, Maine. They arrived in the US on 28th January 2025 and were transported to the rescue where they are settling in. ALBUS was cleared by the US canine center for diseases upon entry into the US. He is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, heartworm and tick tested negative, is on monthly preventatives, microchipped, weighs around 35 pounds and has an estimated date of birth or 2 July 2022. Stray dogs in Oman are referred to as "Wadi Dogs" and are a mix of the popular sighthound breeds, specifically thought to be descendents of the majestic Saluki and other smaller breeds, many resembling whippets with their small agile frames. If not saved these dogs are often shot or brutally ran over and left for dead. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. ALBUS is available for adoption for an adoption fee of $550, as noted he is located at the rescue in Sebec, Maine and families are required to complete and submit an  adoption application and when approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and hopefully take home this sweet boy. Applications are processed with 24 hours of them being received.
