Story
Pretty girl Fiona is about 3yrs old and weighs 17lbs. A few months ago she was a mama but now her puppies have found their forever homes so it’s Fiona’s turn. She is such a quiet, gentle girl that will blossom in a calm, loving home that has plenty of time to shower her with the kindness and love she deserves. She is a little timid so although she’s great with everyone, the energy of young children is just too much for her so an adult only home or with kids over 14yrs old would be best. Visiting grandchildren would be just fine. With her deep chest and body structure, she appears to be an Italian greyhound, possibly mixed with chihuahua. We’re not entirely sure of her breed. Whatever she is, she is a gentle, kind, curious girl that will be a wonderful addition to a very lucky home. Fiona is crate trained and because she’s so quiet, she would be ok in a condo. With a little confidence building and more leash training, she could also be a great office dog companion. Fiona gets along ok with other dogs but she’s not interested in having a playmate so no other dogs are required. She also gets along wonderful with the kitties.

Hi, I am Bria,Thank you for checking out my profile. If you are looking for a calm confident dog who is fine being an only dog, then you found me. I don’t mind other dogs but mostly I just ignore them. I don’t live with cats or kids and kind of prefer my alone time.I am very calm and I walk well on or off a leash. I am not a big fan of toys, but I do like car rides. I am house trained too.The beach is fun, I love splashing around in the water. If it sounds like I would be a good addition to your family, fill in the adoption application and we can meet on a Zoom call.Lots of love to give,Bria To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. OLIVE is possibly a Whippet Mix. She weighs 20#s but has long legs and is naturally thin. She is about 1 yr old (est. DOB 1/19/24). She was raised in an apartment. She was found as a stray in a church parking lot and her microchip helped us trace her back to her owner. He explained that he went out of town 2-3 times a week and had to have someone else watch her and he felt he wasn’t doing right by her. I offered to find her a GREAT home. During the time she has been with us I noticed she didn’t understand how to play and deal with other dogs! Everything was surprising to her. You should see her now! She’s the leader of the pack; playing tug-of-war with a stuffed toy and one of the other dogs. She rolls and plays with delight and she is very agile. She did not have many “house” manners but she’s learning. She’s very smart. Olive loves people and loves attention… especially at treat time. She will be good with a family…gentle children (I have not tested her with young children)…and lots of fun and activity. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.
