Story
Meet Tucker! 🐾Tucker is a tall, scruffy sweetheart with a soft beard, soulful eyes, and a heart just as big as his paws. Estimated at around 5 years old, this guy has the energy and playfulness of a younger pup, but the sweetness and charm of a total gentleman.Tucker is great in a kennel, respects the furniture (he doesn’t get on it!), and has been quick to learn things like using a doggy door. He’s had a couple of accidents in the house — not because he’s naughty, but because his “I gotta go” signals are subtle, and he was still learning the ropes. He’s already made huge progress! This goofy guy loves tug toys and will give you a run for your money during playtime. He’s a bit of a messy drinker thanks to that glorious beard, and recently tried to leap a baby gate… and ended up half in the kitchen sink. (No Tucker or humans were harmed, but snacks were lost.)Tucker gets along well with smaller dogs and absolutely adores people. He’s not a big barker, but he is a big lover. He’s still learning a few boundaries when it comes to food (he thinks biscuits belong to everyone), so he’ll do best with a family ready to help him polish his manners. If you’re looking for a sweet, scruffy, and slightly clumsy best friend — Tucker is your guy. 💛To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.https://longwayhome.org/apply ❤ Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds.
