Story
Buddy the bulldog mix is approximately 3 years old and came to us very underweight at 35 lbs. We’d like to see him closer to 60 lbs. He is neutral with other dogs, cats and kids, but not good with farm animals. He was found as a stray outside of Dallas and taken to be examined by a vet by a good Samaritan. Buddy is already neutered. He was michrochipped but his owner did not want this sweet boy back when contacted. We think it is their loss! Before going to his forever home, he will be up to date on his shots, heartworm tested and a couple small masses removed from his sides. We will get him back up to an appropriate weight. Buddy is a sweet, chill dude that just wants cuddles with his people and naps on the couch. He is crate trained and house trained and is quickly learning to walk nicely on a leash. He doesn't like the cold weather we had this past winter so his foster got him a sweater! He rides really well in the car and is a perfect gentleman at the vet. Update on Buddy! He is gaining weight and is back to where he should be at about 65-75 lbs! Unfortunately it was discovered that he is heartworm positive and is in the treatment process. This process will take approximately 9 months, during which he can be adopted locally. Please help us find this sweet boy a forever home! 6/1/24 update: Buddy is still waiting for his forever home! He is the perfect dog so I don't know how he still doesn't have a home yet!

Story
Rufus is on Stray-Hold until 8/14. He has been running around Houston for a couple days and was picked up by a lovely person. We are still looking for his original family. Unfortunately he isn’t microchipped so after 7-10 days if no owner comes forward we will neuter him and get him up to date on vaccinations and monthly preventatives. We will update his profile as we learn more about him!

Hello, I am Sporty Spots. I am a big loving affectionate dog. Sporty absolutely loves people and loves to get attention and belly rubs! He will sit with his head in your lap getting all the head scratches for hours if you let him. He is a goofball and is sure to make you laugh and smile everyday. Spots is a super friendly and outgoing dog. He is very loyal and very friendly with other people. He is also very protective of his home and loves to keep patrol of his yard.
