I am a BIG boy at 85 lbs.! This seems to be my ideal weight, too! I am a laid-back, middle-aged dude who wants all the attention! We are working on my excitability, and I am learning not to jump. I am a typical bulldog with itchy skin & lots of lovable folds that will need care. I love to go outside and play, and I know just what to do out there. No messes in the house! I love car rides and especially getting treats from that magic pull-up window! Why can't I sit on your lap? I walk well on my leash and love it when you think that you will get my toy back. Nope, nope, nope! My foster peeps are still assessing whether I am good with other dogs. I do well in dog parks but may be a tad resource aggressive. However, it's been a crazy few days, and we will check back here after more assessments.

They say I'm a big guy, but I really feel like that means there is more of me to love. My foster mom says I'm very handsome and have good manners. I like to lay on my bed and spend time walking around my yard to be sure there are no squirrels. I like to chase them away. It would be best if I don't share a fence with other animals as they can annoy me. Not to toot my own horn, but I'm very polite. I do not get on the furniture or counter surf. I do like to sneak in some sniffs of whatever you are cooking though. It makes me feel like I'm part of the process. Once I am adjusted to my new space, I only go potty outside. I'm good with bigger kids just because I'm so big. I could accidentally knock over a small human and that would make me feel very sad. Since I am 6 and out of my puppy stage, I enjoy quite a bit of napping. I do like to watch out for my family and guard them some, so it might take some training before I am ready for an outing. I love my bed and I'm very happy sleeping in my crate too. I don't make a peep. I just know the right family is out there waiting for me to give them all the love and kisses too.

This sweet Olde English bulldog has stolen our hearts with her playful antics and loving nature. At five years young, Maeby brings lots of love and joy into our home. Maeby is the epitome of fun! She adores rough play and will happily engage in games that keep us on our toes. But don't let her playful side fool you-she's also a cuddle connoisseur! There's nothing quite like snuggling up with Maeby after a long day. And let's talk snacks-Maeby is definitely a foodie! Whether it's a tasty treat or a savory chew, she savors every bite with gusto. Of course, Maeby's day isn't complete without a good nap. After all the excitement, she knows just how to recharge her batteries-by curling up for a peaceful snooze. Plus, we're thrilled to share that Maeby is potty trained, making her transition into our home smooth and easy. She will tell you when it's time to go by barking or ringing her bell. She loves to sleep, cuddle and play tug. She also sleeps with her tongue always sticking out. She wiggles her whole body and does tippy-tappys when she's excited. She is so smart and knows lots of commands like sit, shake, off, treat, and kennel. She's great on leash, but can be reactive when she sees other dogs; sometimes it's just a little whine, and other times she zooms straight to them. She has lived with cats and dogs, but has shown aggression towards the other dogs in the home and would likely need to be the only dog in her home. She loves kids and would make a great sibling. She has some minor skin issues that require a little extra care. She's also a bit of a picky eater, but nothing a bit of wet food doesn't fix! She's an absolute sweetheart with a great personality that would make any family happy.

I am a very handsome and sweet 7-year-old OEB that came upon hard times. I was found as a stray and taken to a local shelter who called BHNW to give me a second chance for a happy life. I arrived at the shelter in need of some medical care and TLC. I am in overall good health, I have some sore knees and hips so I will need to be on joint supplements and anti-inflammatories long-term, but I get around good and I love my daily walks! As I have been healing and getting healthier, despite my arthritis, I'm becoming a more energetic guy and love to get out and exercise, and really love my daily walks. I also love my lounge time on the couch and cuddling with my human! I'm potty and crate trained. I love all humans I meet, and I love to cuddle and get attention. I love to sleep in my bed and have extra blankets to nest into and I love to sleep with my human if I'm allowed. I am not kid tested, but to be safe, I'd do best in a home with adults and older kids only. I walk well on a leash. I am reactive to other dogs, but I've had some training on how to "leave it" and will keep improving with continued training. I would do best in a home where my human has dog experience and will be my pack leader, and where I'm the only fur baby and King of the Castle. If you are looking for a couch buddy to cuddle with and to be your best buddy, I'm your guy so pawlease fill out an application!!
