CHARM, Inc. Dog rescue in HEADLAND, AL

We are a small group of volunteers who organized in 2010 to prevent the euthanasia of dogs at the city shelter. We provide for the needs of the dogs placed in the shelter by animal control including food, cleaning supplies, medical care, shelter improvements etc. and then we try to find adopters. We have a volunteer at the shelter 365 days per year for socialization, exercise, potty breaks, etc. We fill in for the ACO on weekends, vacations, holidays, etc. We do this because it is our mission to prevent the euthanization of healthy, adoptable dogs just because they had irresponsible owners.
