New Horizons Great Dane Rescue

Dog rescue in Arvada, CO

New Horizons Great Dane Rescue, formerly Great Dane Assistance League was founded in June 2002 by a group of individuals who are concerned for the welfare of Great Danes. We are a group dedicated to the advancement of the Great Dane breed with respect to proper medical care, socialization, education and ownership.

We are concerned for Great Danes that have been abandoned, abused or in anyway mistreated. We take in abandoned, abused and owner surrendered Great Danes and find them new loving homes. We are here to assist individuals or families who are looking to give a Great Dane a warm and loving home. We are here to help current Danes owners or people who want to learn about Great Danes. Needless to say, we love Great Danes and want to see each and every one of them happy, healthy and well cared for.

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins with completing our Adoption Application. This application must be filled out completely and mailed or faxed back to us. We will then review your application. If we have any questions, one of our representatives will contact you.

The references you put on your application will be contacted, including the Vet references. We ask that personal references not be family members. Neighbors and friends make good references.

The adoption process will require a home check is done. One of our representatives will contact you to set up a convenient time to meet at your home. This is done to ensure the fence is in good condition. Point out any items that may have to be Dane Proofed and to point out any areas that may be dangerous or harmful to a Great Dane.

You can also check the Adoption Information page on our website at www.nhgdr.org
