ResQ 4 Paws

Animal rescue in Ortonville, MI

ResQ 4 Paws is a non-profit 501(c)3 ResQ and referral organization dedicated to placing unwanted paws into suitable homes, and preventing those unwanted paws from overloading the local shelter & humane societies. We are a foster home organization that evaluates temperament and overall personality of each dog. ResQ 4 Paws hopes to attain the goal of reducing over population in local shelters by promoting responsible animal ownership by educating the public in the selection, care and training of the breed they choose to adopt. Educating the public about spay/neuter and the need for sterilization of all pets, proper health care of a pet, and nutritional requirements as well as the importance of ID tags - they are your pet's only ticket home!

Additional adoption info

Individuals who would like to adopt can contact ResQ 4 Paws at resq4paws@yahoo.com Prospective owners must complete an application and meet our adoption requirements. All of our dogs & cats are spayed/neutered and all immunizations are current, prior to placement as time permits otherwise they are adopted on a contract with a vet authorization. New owners must agree to license the dog and provide humane care for the dog and/or cat. Any breach of the contract will result in ResQ 4 Paws reclaiming the dog and/or cat. The adoption fee is $200 - $400 for dogs and the cost varies for the cats. This helps cover some of the expenses incurred in the ResQ of that dog/cat, as well as help ResQ 4 Paws continue our efforts. The adoption fee includes all age appropriate shots, worming/fecal, spay/neuter, and microchipping.
