Lee County Domestic Animal Services Animal shelter in Fort Myers, FL

Lee County Domestic Animal Services has four divisions. The Pet Adoption Center is open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pets not claimed by owners are made available to the public for adoption. Applications may be submitted in person or online. Volunteers are on hand to help potential adopters select a pet that best suits their family and lifestyle. Two to three customer service representatives staff the Pet Adoption Center to approve applications and process adoptions.

Want more information about a specific animal you would like to adopt? Email kennel@leegov.com.

Lee County Domestic Animal Services' goal is to place companion animals with responsible owners. Our first consideration must be for the welfare of the animal. Therefore, anyone wishing to adopt an animal must submit an adoption application for approval prior to visiting the animal, either online or in person at our shelter. After your application is approved, a volunteer or staff member will assist you in visiting with a pet during adoption hours, Monday through Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
