Eaton Animal Den

Animal rescue in Eaton, CO

We adopt out stray dogs found in Eaton, CO. Ever since we opened in 2005, we have been trying our best to find the dogs and cats we receive, new, loving homes. It broke our heart to see the conditions some of our dogs came in with and we strive to make sure they never have to go through that again. As for our adoptable cats, we don't regularly take them in unless it is an emergency situation, any cats we don't take, we send to local cat rescues in our area.

Rescue FAQs

We have a contract with the City of Eaton to take in any stray dogs that the officers or residents find running. After a period of 3 to 5 days we place the dog into our adoption, if they have not been claimed. From there they are spayed/neutered if necessary and updated on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella. We then keep them with us until they find their permanent new home; however long that may take.

Additional adoption info

We do have an adoption fee of $120; just to recoup some of the costs from housing and medical procedures. Also, we do require that any potential adopters fill out our adoption application and list 4 references. One reference should be any previous vets and then three family/friend references. As for cats, we adopt them out for $65 dollars and require a similar adoption application process.
