Valley Animal Rescue is a Foster Home based animal rescue in Renfrew County. We have foster homes located throughout the Ottawa Valley and outlying areas including Ottawa.

VAR is dedicated to saving animals and re-homing them into loving, forever homes. We are 100% volunteer run and all of our animals are cared for in the homes of our devoted foster families. Valley Animal Rescue relies solely on financial donations and fundraising to cover the expense of caring for the animals.

Valley Animal Rescue is a registered charity. We are a Foster based animal rescue organization. We are based out of Renfrew, Ontario, but have foster animals in homes throughout Renfrew County and the Ottawa area.
The backbone of our operation is a network of committed foster homes that care for, socialize, and help prepare animals for adoption. Our greatest needs are foster families, funding and volunteers.

Our Mission: To act as an advocate for all animals ensuring their protection and well-being.
To work towards ending the suffering caused by pet overpopulation.
To promote kindness, mercy, compassion and respect for all living creatures.

Additional adoption info

All animals in our care will be microchipped, neutered, have all vaccinations up to date and will be tested and treated for parasites.

Our adoption fee for cats is $190.00
Our adoption fee for dogs is $365.00 for 5 years and over. $395 for up to 4 yrs.

We require all potential adopters to fill out an application and submit to a home inspection as well as providing required references.
