Persians Plus,Inc. Cat rescue in Oaks, PA

The pet overpopulation problem isn’t limited to mixed breed cats–it’s also a problem with Persians, Maine Coons and others.

Many years ago, our founder bred Persian cats. Now she realizes that there are many Persians out there who are not living in forever homes.

She also realizes there are many wonderful homes out there, where a new Persian or other long-haired cat would be most welcome.

For many of these would-be cat owners, “doing the right thing” by adopting a homeless cat is important.

Persians Plus, Inc. wishes to help by matching cats and kittens needing good homes with warm-hearted people who want to add a furry new family member.

Rescue FAQs

We rescue cats and kittens primarily in eastern Pennsylvania (Philadelphia area), but we also save kitties from Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Delaware and beyond. We adopt our kitties out to approved adopters within driving distance (we do adopt out of state, but will not ship or transport).

Additional adoption info

When you’re ready to adopt one of our cats or kittens, the first step is to complete our adoption application (available on our web site or by requesting it from us via email) and send it back to us.

We are an all-volunteer organization, so it sometimes takes several days to process an application (please be patient!). Approved adopters are able to meet the cats by appointment, typically at adoption events.

We’ll check your references and will be back in touch with you as soon as possible. If you’re approved, we’ll set up a mutually convenient time for you to meet and adopt your new kitty.

FEES: Our adoption fees range depending upon many factors (age, breed, purebred or not, veterinary expenses, etc). We invest a lot into our adoptable cats and kittens to ensure they’re well cared for. Our adoption fees usually don’t come close to covering our costs, but we feel it’s important to keep our adoption fees reasonable. This way our cats and kittens are well matched to their best homes without having cost be a limiting factor.
