Rescue FAQs

We only take in animals from our local community. But we will adopt to anywhere in the United States and Canada.

Additional adoption info

After you decide on the pet you're interested in, our adoption process begins. Please submit an application.

It will be reviewed by one of our volunteers. If certain and critical criteria is met, we will pass your application on to the foster. The foster will then contact you and make arrangements for your family to meet the dog, most likely at one of our many Adoption Events.

A home visit is also required for all of our adoptions. If you are local to the Toledo area, it will be performed by one of our volunteers. If you are long-distance, then we will need to make arrangements with a rescue group in your area. The processing of your application can take several days, so we ask for your patience.

Adoption fees depend on the specific animal.

Thank you for your interest in a rescue pet!
