We are a 501c3 licensed non profit organization in St Louis, Missouri. We are foster based and have a passion for helping the animals who have been dumped and abandoned in St Louis city. We also work hard to help save those in high kill shelters that are scheduled to be euthanized. We believe in that all pets deserve a second chance and that there is a home for everyone.

Rescue FAQs

Stray Paws Rescue is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit, foster-based rescue. Our organization believes it is our moral responsibility to protect and improve the lives of rescue dogs. Our mission is to save lives, keep our community informed on humane education, training and loving treatment of our companions, and finding the best fit for both the animals in our care and potential forever families!

We pull animals from high kill shelters on their final minutes and off the streets in St. Louis. We feed strays and sets humane traps for the lost and dumped pets and rescue dogs from unsafe home environments to bring them to safety.

Additional adoption info

All adoption fees are payable the day the contract is finalized.
Please note our adoption fees are as follows:
Puppies 6 months and younger - $325.00
Young adults 7 months-6 years - $300.00
Adults-Seniors: 7 years+ - $200.00
Cats and kittens - $150.00
Pair of kittens - $275.00

PLEASE NOTE OUR ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS
By submitting this application there is no guarantee that we will place a dog or cat with you.
We only adopt to families within 50 miles of St. Louis, MO.

We do not have a shelter. We are foster based only.
All adoptions require a completed application
