Lytle Animal Allies Animal rescue in Natalia, TX

We received our 501c3 status in March 2017. Until then we had assisted the City of Lytle Animal Care Facility but they're only allowed to pick up strays inside city limits. LAA now takes in the ones the city cannot.
In addition to adoptions, we hold fundraisers. Since March, we've donated approximately $5,000 for special medical needs of pets at the Lytle facility. Those pets would probably have been euthanized otherwise since the shelter doesn't have the budget for things like that.

Rescue FAQs

We mainly work with the city of Lytle Animal Care facility, but we help clients from anywhere with our pet food pantry held on the last Saturday of each month.
We also do many out-of-state adoptions and use Rescue Road Trips for transport to the East Coast and a couple different transporters and/or fly pets to their homes on the West Coast.

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters must fill out an application (we don't adopt on "first come" basis, we want the best match). Adopters must agree to keep dog on flea and heart worm preventative. They must also agree to return the pet to LAA if they can no longer care for the pet. References are called! All of the requirements are spelled out on the application/contract.
The foster speaks with the potential adopters to give them more info about the pet (and get an idea if they're the right match for the pet).
The adoption fee is $185 for all pets. This covers the spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, HW and fecal test and health certificate if going on transport.
