Inky showed up in our backyard in early October of 2024 We initially called him Halloween Cat. After a few days, he started to come near me and my 3 little children, seeking attention. He loves pets and cuddles, but is still a bit skiddish when someone makes quick movements around him. He's never tried to harm another pet, adult, or child unless he felt scared. His behavior reminds me of a very typical housecat and I wonder if he was dropped off on the side of the road. We took him to our veterinarian and she said he is likely about 1 year old, needs neutered, and is not microchipped. He stays around our house and comes inside to eat and take short naps. Otherwise, he lives outside. It's too cold for this to continue, however, and he needs a furever home. His furever home should be where he can access inside and outside, and access to all the cuddles!
