`Diesel is a lovable Labrador/Shepherd mix who is searching for his forever home! Diesel is 4 years old and he is a BIG boy! Despite his size, he truly is a gentle giant and has the sweetest personality! Diesel settled right into foster life and he is literally up for anything. He loves to play and go for walks but he is also good at hanging next to his people!

Diesel has been under the care of West Valley Humane Society since December of 2024 and he is ready to bring joy and companionship into his new forever home! Diesel will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering and escaping. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. He will need a home with no cats.

West Valley Humane Society is an open-admission animal shelter in Southern Idaho. Serving all of Canyon County, and surrounding areas. We take in the stray, surrendered, abandoned, neglected animals in our community. In 2017, we took in 7,778 animals. We believe that every animal deserves a second chance.
We contract with the cities of Nampa, Caldwell and Canyon County to house stray and owner surrender animals that their ACO's, or the general public, bring to us.
