She is fiercely independent, yet she also has a sweet, tender side that shines through once she feels comfortable. Beatrice is a bit shy at first, but with a little patience and a lot of affection, she`ll soon warm up and reveal her true, loving nature. Despite her initial shyness, Beatrice has an energetic streak that makes her the perfect companion for active individuals or families. She loves to explore, run, and play, but she also appreciates quiet moments of companionship. Beatrice will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering and escaping. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. If you have other dogs in your home, we would be happy to arrange a meet and greet with your dog(s) to make sure everyone gets along. We don’t know how she will do with cats.

West Valley Humane Society is an open-admission animal shelter in Southern Idaho. Serving all of Canyon County, and surrounding areas. We take in the stray, surrendered, abandoned, neglected animals in our community. In 2017, we took in 7,778 animals. We believe that every animal deserves a second chance.
We contract with the cities of Nampa, Caldwell and Canyon County to house stray and owner surrender animals that their ACO's, or the general public, bring to us.
