Meet Lydia, a 2.5-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound mix with a heart of gold and a nose for fun! She’s sweet, playful, and loves her toys, medium-sized dog friends, and showing off her smarts—she’s already nailing “sit” and “stay.”
If Lydia were a superhero, she’d be Captain Cuddles, melting hearts and sniffing out treats in record time! She’s looking for a calm, loving home with plenty of belly rubs and adventures.
Ready to meet your new best friend? Lydia’s waiting to wag her way into your heart!

More about this shelter
At Darbster Rescue, our goal is to place kittens, cats, and dogs with great, forever homes in New England. The pets are primarily from South Florida and other southern states where the euthanasia rates are very high. Our shelters are in New Hampshire which has a strong demand for pets relative to supply and where shelters like ours are strictly no kill operations. Our animals will go to their new homes spayed or neutered, UTD on shots and a clean bill of health from FL and NH. We are here to help everyone look for the perfect match for themselves and their family.
