"Dogs leave pawprints on our hearts." This makes us think of our precious Uncle Cracker!
Why we love him: He is an absolute sweetheart who truly enjoys our company!
Meet everyone's favorite uncle....our very own Uncle Cracker! He is so handsome with his snow white coat and warm brown eyes. We love the speckles on his muzzle and ears, too. Uncle Cracker is four years old and weighs 63 pounds. If you want to adopt a medium sized companion, he could be the one!
He is so gentle, friendly and good natured and we love spending time with him. Uncle Cracker is very affectionate and one of our favorite cuddle buddies! He really enjoys being petted and sitting with you to relax and share the day.
He is a loyal, well-mannered companion on daily walks and adores being close by your side.
Uncle Cracker looks forward to daily outings in the fenced yard, where he loves to run and play and has so much fun. He especially enjoys the toys and is so agile and athletic!
He is a bright, obedient dog who wants to please and should master any commands you wish to teach him.
Lucky Uncle Cracker spent some time in a foster home during the holidays and his family reports: "Uncle Cracker is so sweet, handsome, good-natured, and smart. He sits for treats and learns quickly. Uncle Cracker loves to play with toys. He enjoys chasing balls and will allow you to take them from his mouth when he is in the mood to keep fetching them. Uncle Cracker loves to jump and wiggle when he wants to play.
He seemed to get a little calmer every day he was here. He allowed me to dry him off and clean his paws, and he’s a real love bug! Uncle Cracker was calm with a house full of company and friendly to everyone. He came up to the table a couple of times, but didn’t beg for food. I haven’t been around children with him, but I think he’ll be fine. He quickly fell in love with riding on the seat of our 4-wheeler and wasn’t startled when our tractor drove close by.
I wouldn’t trust him alone with food on the kitchen counter yet. He seems to understand “no” pretty well, but he’s not quite there yet and still challenges boundaries. He can be a puller, so the underharness helps a lot, and he’s getting much better except when he gets excited or sees another dog, rabbit, deer, etc.
He’s good about staying off furniture unless invited, but you have to let him know (he really wants to be a lap dog on the couch). He sleeps in our big dog bed, and since we only have one dog bed these days, it didn’t take him long to squeeze his big self into a cat bed downstairs!
I really think he needs a doggy playmate to help him stay occupied."
Come meet Uncle Cracker and you will see why he is so special to us!
