Meet Eli. This poor, sweet 2 ½ yr old male German Shepard was found several months ago with a pellet lodged in his spine. Somebody actually shot him!! 😡😢 Despite knowing only cruelty from humans in the past, Eli has thrived under the care of his current foster family. He is a very gentle and loving dog who gets along with other dogs of all sizes. He is also tolerant of cats! Eli is a happy boy who loves affection. He loves to nap, play with toys and take walks….where he will almost always stop to smell the flowers 😊 He is the type of dog that loves to sit and observe passersby. Eli is crate trained and enjoys milk biscuits, dipped in yogurt and/or peanut butter. He is neutered and UTD on all.
Eli loves routine, which is helpful with his situation. He suffers from slight incontinence due to the pellet injury he suffered as a puppy, but this can be managed by scheduling his feeding and water intake along with his time outdoors. Eli needs, and frankly deserves, a family who is willing to accept his situation and help him navigate through his life comfortably.
