`I got cats in my head and they won`t go. Spirit`s in my head and she won`t go!`
Spirit came to us from another shelter, and spent some time in foster learning proper manners and getting acquainted with people. Now Spirit is ready to find her fur-ever home with that special someone!
ABOUT SPIRIT: -In foster -Adult, domestic shorthair, female -Spirit loves to play at night, enjoying having the home to herself (and her friend Frost!) -Spirit is a skittish cat who has had minimal experience with humans. -Some skittish cats may remain reserved, while others may express their trust and affection in a variety of ways. Spirit accepts pets with a back-scratcher, and sometimes by hand. -Spirit has FIV, which is a virus that weakens the immune system of a cat but is not transmissible to humans or other species. -Spirit is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and has received core vaccinations.
SPIRIT`S IDEAL HOME: - Spirit is part of a bonded pair and must be adopted with her foster partner, Frost. - She enjoys the company of other cats, which helps her gain confidence. -Spirit does not require medication but vet checkups twice a year are recommended. -Cats who have FIV can live just as long as other cats if they are properly cared for with a good diet, an indoor home, and a loving family. -A skittish cat will benefit from a calm, quiet environment, preferably without small children. -Potential adopters should be prepared to commit the time, effort, and patience required to help Spirit settle into her new environment. EHS will provide post-adoption support to assist Spirit with a successful transition to her forever home.
Are you in the giving spirit? Spirit`s looking for a quiet home where she can take her time to come out of her shell, build her trust, and finally let her true nature shine through!
