My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Approximate Date of Birth:3/15/2020

Description:Meet Aspen via YouTube! Simply copy/paste this link: https://youtu.be/d8OJrFYHNEg

Meet Aspen, a big, handsome, smart and mellow boy with a heart full of love. He is a sweet, talkative and friendly guy who loves his people. Though a bit shy at first, Aspen's curiosity and talkativeness eventually get the better of him, leading to delightful moments of exploration and discovery. He is cautious about exploring new rooms and meeting new people but he works through it as he learns that he is comfortable and safe. He is a loyal companion who really enjoys a good cuddle session and will not say no to a belly rub. His intelligence and mellow nature make Aspen a joy to be around. His sweet and friendly disposition, coupled with his loyal and cuddly side, make him the perfect companion. His independent streak ensures that he is happy hanging out and napping in the highest place he can find. Top shelf of a closet? Top of kitchen cabinets? No problem for this athletic guy! Overall, however, he would much prefer to have more time with you, in your lap, next to you, talking with you. He prefers to be the Top Cat in his home, but a wand toy has been known to bring out the kitten in him. It is very easy to trim his nails and give him liquid meds - he is a very cooperative kitty! Whoever adopts Aspen will experience the unconditional love and companionship that this loyal kitty is longing to offer to the right person.

Additional adoption info

Go meet their pets

Some of our "ready to adopt" felines are located at one of our Arizona PetSmart locations. https://www.savingonelife.org/adopt/locations/

We also have a small satellite operation in San Diego with adoption events on select Saturdays at the PetSmart Escondido store.

We highly recommend applying in advance in order to increase your opportunity at adopting the kitty you are interested in. Applications are processed in the order they were received. If you have questions, please email adoptions@savingonelife.org.

More about this rescue

Saving One Life is a completely foster based, volunteer run, never kill rescue. Our motto is that although we can't save the world, it makes a world of difference to the ones we do save.

If you find a litter of kittens or your cat accidentally got pregnant - please contact us if you are able to foster them at intake@savingonelife.org. We cannot take in more animals without foster homes. All supplies and vet care will be taken care of - all you have to do is open your home and heart to them until they can find homes of their own!

All of our adoptable animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for felv/fiv (Cats), dewormed, and microchipped. Adoption fees range depending on the animal's age and breed. All adoption fees assist other animals in our care - we do not have any paid employees. We are a completely never kill group that provides sanctuary to any "unadoptable" animals that come into our care including hospice care.
