My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Duke is a shining example of love and devotion, currently thriving in a foster home where his foster parents can’t say enough about his sweet nature. Wherever his humans are, that’s exactly where Duke wants to be. He’s the ultimate companion, radiating calm and warmth. Duke enjoys the company of other dogs, often curling up beside them for quiet companionship. During play sessions, he prefers to sit back and watch the fun unfold, and when introduced to cats, he was the perfect gentleman—completely unbothered. This lovable guy is a dream to have in the home. He’s leash-trained and loves short walks but will let you know when he’s ready to head back. He’s perfectly house-trained, stays off furniture, and is content and polite without needing to be crated. Duke knows his spot, happily settling into his dog bed like the well-mannered boy he is. But what Duke truly lives for is his people. He adores humans and thrives on affection. A belly rub will send him straight to cloud nine, and he’ll gently nudge your hand when he’s craving some love. Duke’s laid-back, happy personality makes him a joy to be around. He’s social, friendly, and loves meeting new people. This sweet boy knows how to sit on command, takes treats gently, rides beautifully in the car, and is a pro at bath time. And those hugs and kisses? They’re guaranteed to melt your heart. Duke is approximately 8 years old, weighs 81 pounds, and is neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested, and vaccinated. He’s waiting to meet his forever family at Citrus County Animal Services, 4030 S. Airport Rd, Inverness, FL. Come meet Duke and experience the unconditional love he has to offer. ID# 55104459. DUKE`S ADOPTION FEE HAS BEEN PAID BY A CARING SHELTER VOLUNTEER VIA CITRUS COUNTY FOUNDATION FOR ANIMAL PROTECTION (CCFAP)`S `SPONSOR ME HOME` PROGRAM!
