My name is Eliza Doolittle!

Please give a warm welcome to Eliza Doolittle!

She came to SAAP very pregnant ready to give birth any day. On the day of her delivery, she gave birth to 12 - yes 12 puppies!! Sadly over the course of a few weeks, 4 had passed away. The remaining 8 were thriving and doing very well! Eliza was a great mother to all of them. The puppies have since been adopted and now it is Eliza’s turn to find her perfect furever home. 

Eliza is a medium size dog. She currently weighs about 45 pounds. She is a low to medium energy dog. She LOVES people and dogs and LOVES to play! I do not have young children in my foster home but I think she would be good with kids. She is the absolute most sweetest girl with the most loving kisses. Even the vet staff commented on how sweet she was (especially for being in a strange and stressful environment). And as an added bonus, she has ignored the resident cat! Eliza does fairly well in her crate. She keeps it clean (i.e., no potty accidents); she does whine a bit but will quickly settle down. She goes into her crate with a bribe (treats); otherwise, I do have to nudge her in. I highly recommend she be crated when you are not home as she does like to explore and get into things. She would do great in a home with a fenced in yard or a home where she would get regular walks/exercise. She is not super barky like some hounds so I think she would do fine in a house or an apartment. Apply today to meet this sweet girl and you will not be disappointed!!
