Our adorable guy Koomi is full of smiles and kisses to give to his future FURever family! 🥰😍🐾 We know someone out there is just waiting for this perfect boy, so come get him! He's waiting to make your life so much brighter! Koomi would be the perfect family dog. Full of cuddles, always happy to see you, and loves to play... we just know he'd do great in whatever environment he's in. He'd also be the perfect addition to any multidog household, as he is extremely dog friendly. Whatever you throw this guys way, he'll be happy to acclimate to in exchange for some butt scratches (his favorite thing!) Koomi is a 40 pound lab/pit mix who would be a great smaller furry housemate for anyone who's weary of a bigger dog. He would be happy to be anywhere as long as he's with his people FUR LIFE! The Humane Society of Southern Illinois was first founded in 1956. We are an open-access shelter that accepts animals from three separate animal control officers, as well as the general public. We are mainly funded through donations and every little bit helps.
We work with a few independent rescue coordinators to place adoptable animals in high quality rescue programs.
