My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cinco is about 2 years old and is such a sweetheart! He's a mixed breed, possibly a pittie-pointer mix. Cinco is very friendly and loving, but he can be a little shy around new people. He's still coming out of his shell, so he just needs some extra time and patience to feel comfortable. Cinco absolutely adores other dogs and has been tested with cats without any issues. He enjoys soaking up the sun in the backyard and loves to find cozy hideaways in the hedges. He's a bit of a couch potato and enjoys being near his human, lying quietly at your feet while you cook or go about your day. Cinco is already potty-trained and crate-trained. When it's time to go into his crate, he happily hops in without needing any treats as bribes! His crate is his safe haven, where he can relax, snooze, or chew on his toys. He's a great sleeper, whether in his crate or snuggled up in bed next to his human. Cinco knows a few basic commands like "sit," "stay," and "come." He's also learning to walk on a leash, but he's not a fan of car rides just yet. He's a quiet boy who doesn't jump on people or bark much. We think he'd do well with older, dog-savvy kids (maybe 12+) would be best since he tends to be timid. Here are some other cool things about Cinco: He doesn't shed much and doesn't mind baths. He's fine with getting wet in the rain and even enjoys getting dried off and having his paws wiped. He loves chew toys and is pretty chill with the vacuum and loud noises. Thunder doesn't bother him much either. If you're interested in giving Cinco a forever home, please submit an application. He's completed his vet care, and his adoption fee is $250. Additional adoption info

SBF adoptions start off with a 2-week trial period to ensure that the SBF dog is a good fit for your family and current pets. The adoption fee is due the day an adopter starts the 2-week trial period. If the adoption does not work out within those two weeks, the adopter will be refunded all but a $50 donation, or they can put the fee towards another adoptable dog.

More about this rescue

Saved by Fate is a dog rescue organization in Central Kentucky that specializes in pulling dogs at high risk of euthanasia from Kentucky shelters. SBF was founded by Mara DeLaus and Ciara Hagedorn in 2022. After years of volunteering for a fellow organization, they saw a significant need for additional rescue resources in their area. SBF is an entirely foster and volunteer based organization that does not have a physical location or kennel at this time.
