This beautiful girl is known as Peaches, and was recently saved from euthanasia at a high kill shelter. She is an approximately 2-year-old pittie mix that was brought to the shelter as a stray. She is around 75 lbs, and is heartworm negative! Shelter staff and volunteers both report she is an absolute gem of a dog, and did amazing with other dogs in their playgroups! She loved being with people, and had a playful attitude.
Peaches does do best with dogs her size or larger, and needs time to slowly warm up. But after she’s had some time to decompress, she wants nothing more than to play the day away with her canine companions! She does need a home with no small dogs or cats.
Peaches is now fully vetted, and is ready to find her forever home! If you are interested in showing this girl all the love she has ever deserved, you can apply to adopt at www.lexpitcrew.org/adopt. Her adoption fee is $200.

More about this rescue
Lexington Pit Crew aims to inform and educate the public about breeds often unfairly labeled as vicious and dangerous. Our goal is to build a positive reputation for dogs that might otherwise be deemed unadoptable solely based on their breed. Over the past eight years, LPC has rescued thousands of dogs. This success is a team effort, driven by our dedicated volunteers. These volunteers have families, paying jobs, and various other responsibilities, yet they choose to volunteer because they are passionate about our cause. They give their time because they value the lives of the defenseless animals we fight for every day.
