My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cleo Moonbeam: The Belle of the Ball, Ready to Shine in Your Home!

Born: February 27, 2024
Good with: Cats, kids, and dogs (with a little time to adjust)

Mostly black, but secretly a tuxie— Cleo Moonbeam is the kind of kitten who lights up every room she enters! Known as the belle of the ball by her foster mom, Cleo’s got the perfect blend of beauty, playfulness, and a little bit of sass. While she may start off a little shy in new situations, once she gets to know you, she’ll charm you with her bold, fun-loving spirit and her adorable vocalizations.

Cleo’s energy is contagious—whether she’s zooming around playing with her siblings, scaling tall cat trees, or hunting down her favorite wand toys, she’s always up for fun. But don’t let her active side fool you: Cleo’s also a foodie through and through! When it's mealtime, she’s not shy about letting you know she’s ready to eat, and she’ll happily indulge in her favorite treats—especially Churu and Catit tubes, and don’t even think about forgetting the freeze-dried seafood!

This beautiful girl loves to be the center of attention, especially during playtime, but she also knows how to wind down and enjoy a little relaxation. Cleo loves basking in sunny spots, stretching out, and soaking up the warmth. She’s not overly cuddly, but she’ll definitely show her affection with a quick purr or by curling up near you, letting you know she’s happy and content.

Cleo is also quite brave when it comes to dogs! Her foster mom has large dogs in the home, and Cleo enjoys watching them from a distance, sometimes even following them around. While she doesn’t appreciate direct attention from them, she stands her ground with a little hiss (but no puffing up). She’s got a strong and confident personality, making her well-suited for a home with dogs who will give her space to adjust.

While Cleo is perfectly capable of thriving on her own, she’s also very comfortable with her foster brother, Flounder Firefly. If you’re looking to adopt two kittens, Cleo and Flounder would be happy to continue their adventures together, but rest assured—Cleo will do just fine as a solo kitty, too. She’s easygoing and gets along well with other cats and kids, and with a little time to adjust, she’ll settle in perfectly with her new family.

Cleo is a fantastic companion for families looking for a fun, active kitten who can bring joy and laughter to your home. She’ll be a wonderful addition to any family, whether as a single kitten or with her brother by her side!

More about this rescue

Kitty of Angels, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides funds and resources for shelter animals and feral cat communities in Los Angeles. Our primary focus is on animals at risk of being euthanized in city and county shelters, including underage kittens and cats with health needs. Our immediate goal is to place at-risk animals into foster homes until they are able to be adopted into loving homes. While fostering is an immediate goal, we are also focused on adoptions, partnering with shelters and communities and helping with the feral cat colonies.
