Meet Flounder Firefly: The Chill Tabby with a Heart of Gold
Born: February 27, 2024
Good with: Cats, people (after a little time), dogs (with patience)
Flounder Firefly is a sweet, laid-back boy who’s just waiting to find his forever home. He may take a little time to warm up to new people, but once he does, you’ll be rewarded with cuddles, purring, and a whole lot of charm. Flounder’s the kind of kitty who’ll sit back, watch the world go by, and then—when playtime comes—he’s ready to get vocal! He’s known for his adorable growls when he’s playing with his favorite toys—especially those wand toys that let him show off his playful side.
While he can be a little shy at first, Flounder is a wonderful companion who loves to soak up affection, especially when it comes in the form of chin scratches. He may not be the most outgoing at first, but once he’s comfortable, he’ll happily hang out by your side, keeping you company while you work or relaxing nearby as you read or watch TV.
Flounder is a foodie, through and through! He loves his meals and treats, with a special fondness for salmon-flavored Catit treat tubes. But don't try to tempt him with Churu treats—that’s not his style! (Flounder definitely knows what he likes.) He’s also not one to make a fuss, and he’s content with being a little quieter, only meowing when it’s time for food or play.
Flounder’s had his share of challenges, but he’s come through them stronger, healthier, and ready to share his love with the right family. His journey has made him a resilient and gentle soul—perfect for someone who’s looking for a mellow kitty who’ll still bring a lot of personality and joy to the home.
Flounder’s got a special bond with his foster sibling, Cleo Moonbeam, and while they are not bonded in the traditional sense, they’re super comfortable around each other and would be happy to be adopted together if you're looking for two sweet kittens. However, he’s also totally fine with other cats (and even dogs!) after a bit of time to adjust.
Flounder Firefly is looking for a home where he can continue to grow into the amazing cat he’s meant to be—could it be with you?
Apply today to meet Flounder and see if he's the purrfect addition to your family!
