What's up, hoomans? I'm Elm, your future bestie and the life of the paw-ty! I've been living the foster life with two cats, two horses (yep, I'm basically a farm dog!), and my foster fur sister who I love to zoom around with! Now, I'm ready for a home of my own, and I've got energy to spare!

Zoomie Champion! Got a yard? PERFECT! I'm ready to show off my speed!

Dog Sibling? Yes, Please! I've got a foster sis, and we have a blast, so I'd love another buddy!

Farm Life Approved! I live with cats and horses, so I'm cool with all kinds of furry (and not-so-furry) friends!

Snuggle Expert! After all the fun, I'm all about belly rubs and snuggles. Blanket burrowing is my specialty!

Toy Destroyer! Tough toys? Bring 'em on-I'm always up for a challenge!

Obedient & Smart! I know all the commands-"sit, "paw, "leave it, and more. Just wave a treat, and I'll show you my moves!

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Fill out an adoption form found on the animal's profile at www.straypawsrescue.com **We ONLY accept applications filled out on our website.

2.
Interview

Once the application is reviewed, it is sent to the foster and they will reach out to you in 1-3 days.

3.
Meet the Pet

The foster will set up a time and place for you to meet the pet. We will also need to meet your resident pets if you have them.

4.
Home Check

We will do a home visit to ensure the foster animal goes to the right home. We will call your landlord if you rent.

5.
Approve Application

We call all 3 references. If you have a resident pet, we will call their vet to confirm they are up to date on vaccinations & altered.

Additional adoption info

All adoption fees are payable the day the contract is finalized.
Please note our adoption fees are as follows:
Puppies 6 months and younger - $325.00
Young adults 7 months-6 years - $300.00
Adults-Seniors: 7 years+ - $200.00
Cats and kittens - $150.00
Pair of kittens - $275.00

PLEASE NOTE OUR ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS
By submitting this application there is no guarantee that we will place a dog or cat with you.
We only adopt to families within 50 miles of St. Louis, MO.

We do not have a shelter. We are foster based only.
All adoptions require a completed application

We are a 501c3 licensed non profit organization in St Louis, Missouri. We are foster based and have a passion for helping the animals who have been dumped and abandoned in St Louis city. We also work hard to help save those in high kill shelters that are scheduled to be euthanized. We believe in that all pets deserve a second chance and that there is a home for everyone.
