Hey, world! I'm Africa, the adventurous tabby mama with a heart of gold!

I may have started my journey in the engine of a car (yep, that's how I roll ), but now I'm all about the cozy indoor life! I've raised my four little ones like a pro, and now it's time for me to shine and enjoy some well-deserved "me time in a forever home.

Africa's Highlights:

Affectionate: Cuddles and pets? Yes, please! I thrive on attention and love to be by your side.

Friendly: I make friends everywhere I go-humans are my jam!

Good with Kids: Little humans? I'm a magnet for their love and giggles!

Indoor Only: I've had enough adventures for one lifetime; now I just want cozy naps and comfy spots.

Litter Box Trained: Always neat and tidy-I'm a proper lady!

Important Note: I'm looking for a home with fewer cats-I've been bullied by some of the other resident kitties, and I'd prefer a calmer environment where I can truly relax and be myself.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Fill out an adoption form found on the animal's profile at www.straypawsrescue.com

2.
Interview

Once the application is reviewed, it is sent to the foster and they will reach out to you in 1-3 days.

3.
Meet the Pet

The foster will set up a time and place for you to meet the pet. We will also need to meet your resident pets if you have them.

4.
Home Check

We will do a home visit to ensure the foster animal goes to the right home. We will call your landlord if you rent.

5.
Approve Application

We call all 3 references. If you have a resident pet, we will call their vet to confirm they are up to date on vaccinations & altered.

Additional adoption info

All adoption fees are payable the day the contract is finalized.
Please note our adoption fees are as follows:
Puppies 6 months and younger - $325.00
Young adults 7 months-6 years - $300.00
Adults-Seniors: 7 years+ - $200.00
Cats and kittens - $150.00
Pair of kittens - $275.00

PLEASE NOTE OUR ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS
By submitting this application there is no guarantee that we will place a dog or cat with you.
We only adopt to families within 50 miles of St. Louis, MO.

We do not have a shelter. We are foster based only.
All adoptions require a completed application

We are a 501c3 licensed non profit organization in St Louis, Missouri. We are foster based and have a passion for helping the animals who have been dumped and abandoned in St Louis city. We also work hard to help save those in high kill shelters that are scheduled to be euthanized. We believe in that all pets deserve a second chance and that there is a home for everyone.
