My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoption Fee: $200, plus taxes
Location: Foster Home

Pepper is a beautiful girl with dramatic black and white coloring. She was a recent mother and did a great job raising some cute and spunky kittens. Pepper is now all set for a home of her own. She has a very even personality, she loves to look out the window and check out what is going on. If you had a cat tree by the window she would that. She has a playful side and likes to play with a wand toy. She also likes to climb a little and look out over her domain.
If you like a lap kitty she has been known to plop down and make herself comfortable in your lap. Even though Pepper was a recent mama, she really isn't much older than a kitten herself. She is barely over a year old.

Pepper is spayed, microchipped and is current with vaccinations

To come see Pepper please complete an application on the Carver Scott Humane Society website. We are sure you will enjoy meeting her.

Go meet their pets

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue

Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.

In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.

CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
