My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cleo is the smallest puppy in the Outer Banks litter, but she has a huge heart! She loves to be snuggled. She is doing very well with her house training and she is usually the first to come when called. She prefers to play with stuffed animals and often carries them around the house. If youre looking for a couch-potato with a little bit of spunk, Cleos your girl! Cleo will complete her vet care in mid- July. Certain adopters may be eligible to foster-to-adopt Cleo and bring her home sooner. You can inquire about foster-to-adopt at adoptions@savedbyfate.org If you're interested in adopting Cleo, please submit an adoption application and we'll be in touch ASAP! Her adoption fee is $300. A meet with any approved applicant's current pets would be required before starting the 2-week adoption trial period. Please visit our website savedbyfate.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Additional adoption info

SBF adoptions start off with a 2-week trial period to ensure that the SBF dog is a good fit for your family and current pets. The adoption fee is due the day an adopter starts the 2-week trial period. If the adoption does not work out within those two weeks, the adopter will be refunded all but a $50 donation, or they can put the fee towards another adoptable dog.

More about this rescue

Saved by Fate is a dog rescue organization in Central Kentucky that specializes in pulling dogs at high risk of euthanasia from Kentucky shelters. SBF was founded by Mara DeLaus and Ciara Hagedorn in 2022. After years of volunteering for a fellow organization, they saw a significant need for additional rescue resources in their area. SBF is an entirely foster and volunteer based organization that does not have a physical location or kennel at this time.
