Sumo is low-key adult black cat (estimated DOB: 9/3/2013) who is excellent at finding cozy places to snuggle. She loves to be talked to and pet, and she will reward your attention with purrs and “biscuits.” Sumo’s foster mom describes her as a very calm and tolerant cat who enjoys attention.
Sumo came to PPAH when her owner, a good friend and PPAH supporter, passed away. We rescued her along with Moolah and Tribune.
Sumo has always lived in a multi-cat home. If you are looking to adopt more than one calm, friendly, adult cat, consider adopting Sumo with Tribune and/or Moolah. Although she is used to other cats, she does not seem dependent upon the interaction, and we think she would be happy as an only cat who gets a lot of attention from her people. We do not know if she has been exposed to dogs.

Once you have chosen a pet from online or visited at one of our adoption centers, you may decide to submit an application.

Interview
Your application will be acknowledged and a request made for a convenient time to set up a phone interview.

Home Check
We do not visit your home, but we do check vet and personal references.
4.
Approve Application
Once approved, you will meet with our adoption manager, sign your contract, pay your $175 donation fee, and pick up your new baby!

Adoption application is required. If approved for an adoption there is an adoption contract and a $175.00/$400.00 adoption fee. The $175.00 adoption fee for cats includes the spay/neuter, AKC micro-chipping, FIV/FeLV testing (Feline) or Heartworm testing (Canine), deworming, de-fleaing and vaccines.
