Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Moe is estimated to be 13 months old. We say estimated because he came to us on May 25th when he was found with his 2 siblings, his mom and another older cat at a local park in a dog cage. He currently weighs 12.8 lbs. so he is not a little guy.
Moe and his two siblings developed a cold after being rescued. They were taken to the vet where a special test was done to see what was going on with them. The test came back as positive for FHV which is an upper respiratory condition that will cause him to sneeze, have a runny nose whenever a flareup occurs. A flareup may happen whenever something stressful comes up and being left in a dog crate at a park is probably what brought it on. It is not a serious condition, but it is contagious to other cats (not to dogs and humans). The full diagnosis name is Feline Herpes Virus. He does sneeze every now and then and he may never develop any further symptoms. A good diet and a stress-free environment would be excellent for him.
He is such a character compared to his siblings. He acts like a dog! He plays fetch (see his video) and will bring a cat toy to your feet and tap your ankle to throw it so he can fetch it. He is a lap cat, neck cat, armpit cat - he wants to be near his human, if you lay down, he is right there with you, purring up a storm. If he is sitting in a high place and you walk by, he will tap you on your shoulder to see him! Oh, if you say, 'I'm going to get you' and take step towards him, he runs and hides and will run back out to have you chase him!
He is dog friendly with the dogs in his foster home. He hasn't been around a larger dog, but I believe as long as the dog is cat friendly and with proper introduction, it would be no problem.
Moe is vaccinated, neutered, rabies, combo tested negative and microchipped.

More about this rescue
Whiskers & Tails Foundation was founded on February 1, 2005 by Lynne Amano, a vegetarian. Our primary mission is to rescue dogs, cats, to assist needy pet owners, to educate the general public on the humane treatment, and care of all animals.
Our goal is to prevent animal cruelty, and make their lives better while with us. We continue to form relationships with local animal shelters, rescue groups, individuals, volunteers, city, county organizations and supporters. We also donate to other organizations to assist them with their mission objectives.
One of our programs assists senior citizens with their companion animals by finding temporary pet housing, while the owner is hospitalized, in recovery, or permanent homes in cases of the owner's terminal illness, or death.
Whiskers & Tails Foundation believes in spay and neuter of all animals, especially feral cats. We rescue barnyard animals, and educate public on backyard wildlife.
Whiskers & Tails Foundation is a registered 501 (C) (3) Non Profit Organization, Tax ID #02-0737421. We are based out of the sunny Southern California, in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes. Our funding comes entirely from donations, our adoption fees and fund raisers. We do not receive any City, County or Government funding. Your tax deductible donation is used 100% for the welfare, and veterinary care of the animals while they are with us.
