Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Joan is a beautiful 4-year old female Terrier mix who was brought to the HSOV during the overnight/early morning hours on June 14, 2024 along with six other dogs who had shared her home. We learned later in the day that their owner was experiencing health issues and could no longer take care of them.
Since we did not know their given names, the names of several Saints were chosen for those precious dogs (Anthony, Christopher, Clare, Elizabeth, Gemma, Helena, and Joan.
Joan has a white medium-haired curly coat, a long tail, and an adorable face with dark brown eyes, a black button nose, a slender muzzle, and large floppy ears.
This little sweetheart has a friendly disposition and loves attention. Joan is currently sharing a large open enclosure with two of her friends (Gemma and Clare) and they are like the 'Three Musketeers'. Joan and Clare are often seen sharing a soft bed and sleeping close to each other.
Joan weighs 23 lbs.
The photos of Joan with the purple backdrop were taken late in the afternoon on June 14th (the day she and her six friends arrived). Joan's coat was not looking its best that day, so we were thankful that one of our wonderful local groomers (Pawsh Pets Salon) offered to bathe and groom Joan and her friends the following week. Thanks to HSOV Volunteer Tracy Lynn Moore for assisting with preliminary 'glamour photos' in our makeshift 'studio'.
The photos of Joan relaxing in her comfy red/white plush bed were taken on July 4th, and she looked like a little Snow Queen after her grooming session.
Joan was spayed on July 2, 2024 and was also given rabies vaccine that day.
Joan is now available for adoption. Naturally we'd love to see her find a home with one of her best friends.
