I am currently being foster-trained in Prarie du Sac, Wisconsin and not currently located at Safe Haven. I came to Safe Haven with my 4 puppies who have all been adopted. Now I'm looking for my furever home. I was very scared at first and would bark at men and people wearing hats, preferring the company of women and my puppies. But now I am feeling more comfortable with people and other dogs after being in foster training for a few months. I really love running and playing fetch. I am truly happy when I have one-on-one time with people. My foster/training experience has helped me to get over the jealously issues I was having with other dogs getting the attention I wanted for myself. I am good walking on and off leash, love couch time with plenty of tummy rubs. Thanks to training I have gotten better at not jumping up on people, but haven't stopped completely. I would be my best self in a home with active people I could tag along with, if you think I sound like your kind of girl submit an application today. Once an application is approved, we ask potential adopters to come to the shelter to visit the pet or pets they are interested in. If it seems like a great fit, then we would have you fill out the Adoption Contract and provide you with the pet's medical chart, some of the food it is currently eating, and offer any advice we can on that individual cat or dog.

Our shelter is located at 1471, US Highway 20 West, Elizabeth, IL, 61028. Our hours are: Monday - Saturday, 10am to 3pm. We can provide by-appointment-only visits from 3pm to 5:30pm. We are closed on Sundays.
