Meet Jackson! Jackson and his brother, Phelps, came to Chi Town Rescue from a hoarding situation. Phelps has been adopted, but Jackson is still looking for forever. Jackson weighs around 10 pounds and will turn one-year-old in early February. Jackson has come a long way from the shy and scared dog who first came into rescue. He is now full of happy wiggles and wags! Jackson enjoys prancing around on his long legs, and zooming around, big ears flying in the breeze. He is still avoidant of people, but will wiggle up to you, tail wagging, and lick your hand. Jackson is social with other dogs and enjoys play wrestling and running around the play yard. He is still learning about all the fun things about being a dog, but has definitely discovered the joy of toys! Jackson will need a patient family willing to teach him potty training, leash training, and most importantly- snuggle training! :-) Jackson's adoption fee includes neuter surgery, microchip, Rabies certificate, and vaccinations up to date. Adoption fees are dependent on the age and breed of the animal as well as monthly or seasonal promotions. Please inquire directly as to fee of any animal you're interested in. We do require meet & greets and adopter to be present in person and provide valid id.

More about this rescue

"Chi Town" is short for "Chihuahua Town," which is our nick-name because we found that the majority of animals we were rescuing happened to be Chihuahuas and literally have a little “town” comprised of Chihuahuas! Chihuahuas are one of the most over-bred dogs in Arizona and unfortunately many end up in need of rescue. However, we are not limited to saving just Chihuahas, we do save other breeds dependent on availability of space. Chi Town also specializes in rescuing dogs who require a little extra TLC and are at risk of euthanasia at county shelters. These dogs may not be doing well for a variety of reasons- fear, fear aggression, anxiety, or a medical issue to name a few. These are the dogs that typically have no other outlet and for which time is of the essence . After our dogs are medically cleared and/or their behavioral issues have improved, they are available for adoption.

Please be aware that we do our very best to answer all questions in a timely manner.
