Hello, I’m Sparrow!

I am a very curious rabbit who likes to get a sniff of everything that comes by! When staff try to pet me, I can be a little shy but I warm up quickly (especially when food is involved!). I am very active and frequently stand up and greet staff as they enter the room or happen to walk by, I am a charming bunny that would do great in a house prepared to help me be the best bun I can be!

** I`m a volunteer favorite and here`s why:
`Sparrow is the sweet mama of all our babies right now. She seems a little withdrawn and could use a special family to bring her out of her shell.`
`Sparrow is one of the sweetest bunnies on the planet, though she can seem a bit withdrawn. Once that outer shell is cracked, she is nothing but love!`
`Sparrow is a wonderful mama bunny with 8 kids. She is a curious friend that loves to get scratches and is always (somewhat) calm!` **

My adoption fee includes a certificate for a free vet exam.

I came into the shelter as a stray and the above information is based on my behavior seen while in the shelters care. Expect to learn more about me after adoption.

Shelter Hours are 11 AM - 6 PM every day of the week.

Adoption fees vary. Dogs, cats, and rabbits are all spayed or neutered before adoption, include initial vaccinations, a microchip for I.D., and a certificate for a free health check at a number of local veterinarians.

We're located on Greenhill Road between W. 11th and Royal Avenues, approximately 3 miles south of the airport. Directions from east or west: From the east, take the Beltline or surface streets to Barger Rd, or West 11th, and head west to Greenhill Rd. Turn left on Greenhill Rd (from Barger) or right from West 11th; we're approximately a mile down the road. From the west, take Hwy. 126 to Greenhill Rd., turn left at Greenhill Rd.

Greenhill Humane Society has been caring for animals in Lane County since 1944. We operate the only animal shelter within the Eugene/Springfield area. Our programs include animal adoptions; reuniting lost animals with their families; disaster response; crisis care boarding in situations of domestic violence, medical emergencies, and other crisis situations; spay/neuter for free roaming, un-owned community cats; a pet pantry; on-site volunteer opportunities; foster care and humane education.

Last year, we helped reunite or find new loving homes for 2,826 animals. In addition, we provided 469 cat spay/neuter surgeries to assist cat caregivers in reducing feral cat over-population.

Greenhill is a private non-profit and relies on donations for a majority of its budget. The generosity of our local community enables us to provide a high level of care to lost, abandoned, and neglected animals while at the same time helping pet owners in need.
