Meet Elton John!

Elton John is a 1-year-old lab mix with a heart as big as his 50-pound frame. This sweet and loving boy is a true star, ready to bring endless joy to his forever family. He absolutely adores kids, gets along wonderfully with dogs and cats, and is always eager to make new friends.

Elton John is the perfect mix of playful and cuddly. He loves to play, but his favorite spot is right next to you—whether snuggling on the couch or sleeping in the bed. He’s already crate trained, house trained, and leash trained, and he even knows how to sit!

Elton’s story is one of resilience—he was found wandering alone and severely injured, but despite his tough past, he’s full of love and ready to start fresh with a family who will cherish him.

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as "Out of Town" pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

We're open to the public Saturdays from 10am - 2pm. Appointments are available during the week.

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
