My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This beautiful steel-grey colored girl is Delilah, who showed up at a family's house very scared and hungry. These kind folks began to feed her and gain her trust; once she was more comfortable, the family brought her to HES so that she could find her forever home.

Delilah was initially fearful in the shelter environment but has come out of her shell and now enjoys playing with people. She's pretty good on leash and she loves the outdoors. A family who could take her on walks and/or to play in a fenced yard would benefit her greatly. Sometimes she does get excited and jump up to hug you, but she is working on respectively containing this excitement and is improving. She really is a sweet and very smart girl who wants to please.

She enjoys the company of some other dogs, but would probably be happy as the only dog in the household.

Delilah is ready to get out of the shelter and into a permanent home!
