I'm housebroken, not destructive when left alone for short periods, and happy to lounge near you while you work or unwind. Oh, and I'm a top-tier bedtime cuddler! I'm pretty in tune with my people: calm when you're calm and playful when it's time for fun. I can get a little jumpy or mouthy when I'm excited, but with a little redirection and some calming attention, I settle right down. I love food puzzles-they're so fun! I'm still learning to share my favorite toys, but with your guidance, I'll be a pro in no time. Kitsap Humane Society is a private, nonprofit animal shelter. We rescue and rehome over 6000 pets each year. Every dog or cat leaves our shelter spayed or neutered and with complete vaccines and a microchip. We have been caring for animals in need since 1908 and envision a time when all adoptable pets have loving homes.
We are extremely proud of our exceptionally high “lives saved” rate of over 96%. Through our active adoption, behavior, foster, transfer, and veterinary programs, we are able to rehome every adoptable animal that enters our facility. No animal is ever euthanized for lack of space.
In addition to caring for and adopting animals, we also provide spay/neuter services to low income residents of Kitsap County, and provide Animal Rescue and Enforcement services to our surrounding municipalities.
