My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Bruno! I’m a 5-year-old Redbone Coonhound, and I’m basically a big ol’ bundle of joy (with a side of chaos).

I came to FDHS as an owner surrender, and I’ve had a bit of a rough patch. Surgery on my eye? Yup. Heartworm treatment? You bet. Don't worry—I’m still smiling, wagging my tail, and singing my hound dog blues like nobody’s business. (Seriously, I’ve got the voice of an angel… if angels were a little off-key.)

I’m a very strong boy and still working on my manners (I mean, jumping up is just part of my charm, right?), but I promise I’m sweet as can be. I get along with all animals, and I’m basically the happiest guy you’ll meet. I like keeping a clean space, so if you let me out regularly, I’ll make sure my kennel stays nice and tidy. I do great in a fenced yard or on a tie-out—just let me sniff around and soak up all the sun!

When I’m not snoozing, you can bet I’m belting out the song of my people. I’m available for immediate foster or adoption!

Once an application is filled out for animal of interest, the adoption coordinator and director will review app.
*Vet reference- will call vet and verify you are a client
*Current pets- must be up to date on vaccinations
*If renting- will contact landlord to verify can have pets
Can take 1-3 days for approval or denial. Please be patient with us.
Animals are not first come, first serve. We work to find the best homes possible for not only the adopters, but our animals.
