Meet Rooster, the dashing German Short-Haired Pointer with the most soulful eyes you’ve ever seen.

This handsome gentleman was recently brought to FDHS as a stray and, sadly, was never reclaimed by his previous family. Despite not knowing much about his past, Rooster has been nothing but an angel to everyone he meets. He’s friendly, easy to handle, and everyone is in love!

We’re still learning about Rooster’s unique quirks since we have no information on his background, but so far, he’s shown himself to be an all-around good boy. He doesn’t seem to mind the other shelter dogs and has been a polite neighbor, though he hasn’t been tested with cats yet. If you have furry friends at home, we always encourage a Meet & Greet and a Home Trial to ensure a perfect match.

Once an application is filled out for animal of interest, the adoption coordinator and director will review app.
*Vet reference- will call vet and verify you are a client
*Current pets- must be up to date on vaccinations
*If renting- will contact landlord to verify can have pets
Can take 1-3 days for approval or denial. Please be patient with us.
Animals are not first come, first serve. We work to find the best homes possible for not only the adopters, but our animals.
