Mavis is a fun, spunky yet laid back young dog who loves to sit on laps, go for short walks, play with other dogs and she adores children. She does not, however, like being home alone and will bark about it. She is mostly housebroken but has had a few accidents.
Her previous owner found her and her biological brother as strays from a dirty backyard breeder situation. They said Mavis became depressed when her biological brother left the family. She also came to us with a stomach infection caused by old food which went undiagnosed for way too long. It was easily cured with a bland diet and gradual re-introduction of a normal dog kibble.
She perked up quickly after her tummy felt better and she gained a new foster brother named Dodger. They are very close and we think she would do best in a home with Dodger or another even tempered small dog that doesn't mind being bossed around by her.
Aside from the previous stomach infection (now cured), she has been a healthy dog. She is spayed and current on her vaccines.
Dodger (her foster brother) is a friendly, playful, smart and healthy young dog. He loves to cuddle and go for walks. He enjoys playing with other dogs and he is good with young kids.
He is not completely housebroken but is well on his way and with proper supervision, we don't expect that to be a long-term issue.
