My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🚨 Urgent - Foster or Forever Home Needed! 🐾

Montana, our sweet 2-year-old boy, is recovering beautifully from his eye surgery while staying with our amazing volunteer Nicole. 🩺💙 However, this was only a short-term arrangement, and without a foster or adoptive home, Montana will have to go back into boarding this week. 💔 This spot will also help save another shelter dog if he doesn’t have to go back.

Montana has come such a long way, decompressing from his tough past, and we don’t want him to lose the progress he’s made. He is:
✅ Crate trained
✅ Housebroken
✅ Pretty quiet (a couple of whines and then he’s out cold 💤)

Montana is a happy, affectionate boy who’s always wagging his tail and giving butt wiggles! 🐕💕 He loves puzzles, playing ball, chewing bones, and enjoying pupscicles. 🧩🍖 He’s super food-motivated, eager to learn, and knows basic commands.

Temperament:
🐾 Dog friendly but needs the right match and a home that can take time to acclimate.
🐾 Kid friendly (8+ recommended, but he’s done well with younger grandkids).
🐾 Cat indifferent—more interested in handler attention than cats.

Montana would thrive in an active home that can continue his training (we’ll assist as needed!). He’s smart, eager to please, and ready to show his new family what an incredible dog he is.

He is microchipped, neutered, and UTD on vaccines. We will provide everything needed for his foster or adoptive home!

Please don’t let Montana return to boarding—apply now at pittiesandpals.com to foster or adopt!

More about this rescue

Pitties and Pals Rescue, Inc. is (a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit). Our mission is to rescue dogs and educate the public. Although our main focus is the bully breed, we are committed to all dogs in need. We believe RESCUE involves a multitude of approaches that includes liberating dogs from at risk situations, whether in a shelter or with an owner in need of assistance. While adoption is always the ultimate goal, we believe transitioning into foster care allows for socialization and training that are key components to a successful placement.

Pitties and Pals volunteers are also committed to changing the negative public perception of the Bully Breed. As such, we welcome opportunities to heighten awareness and enhance education in a public forum through our personal stories and positive experiences.
