Ninja is a 3 year old shepherd mix who is ready to sneak into your heart. He is a ball of energy, with a calm cuddly center. Once he lets her zoomies out he is ready for whatever the day throws at him. Whether it`s a hike or a day at the beach, ninja is prepared. He is up to date on all vaccinations. Ninja did test positive for heartworms, but thanks to an angel in our community, and long-time supporter of HSSM, $350 has been sponsored towards his treatment at HSSM`s low-cost Community Pet Clinic. His friends at HSSM are here to help and walk you through whatever he will need. Ninja loves kids over the age of 5 and is just a little nervous with the younger ones. HSSM is home to over 300 pets on any given day, most of which are looking for new forever homes! Your new best friend could be waiting at HSSM right now. Our beautiful, 41,000 square foot facility is currently open to the public. HSSM is open for adoptions Tuesday – Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. No appointment is necessary to adopt, however, adoptions are first-come, first served. You must come to HSSM to complete your adoption and make sure you bring a photo ID, as it is required to complete adoption paperwork.
Our adoptable animals page is self-updating and displays ALL of HSSM’s adorable adoptable pets from “pocket pets” to birds and of course the hundreds of dogs and cats currently calling HSSM home! See one you like? Make sure you note your favorite’s name and animal ID number so that HSSM staff and volunteers can easily find him/her when you come in!
Adoptions are cut off every day about 30 minutes prior to closing and possibly earlier if volume is high. Weekends are busy and you may have to wait more than an hour (especially in the afternoons) so please be prepared.
